Affiliate Professors

Professors, newly-graduated doctors (having graduated less than 10 years ago), working in research, education and tutoring students, always in tune with PPGFQM's mission, vision, and strategic objectives. Professors who can contribute to the creation of new lines of research, besides strengthening the already existing ones, to better form human resources and qualify the Program’s scientific and technological production. While also contributing to the insertion of PPGFQM in society, conferring regional, national and international visibility to it.

Bio: She is an Adjunct Professor at the Walter Mors Natural Products Research Institute at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IPPN/UFRJ). Pharmacist graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (2010) with a Specialization in Pharmaceutical Industry (FF/UFRJ) (2015). She holds a Master's degree (2012) and PhD (2017) in Chemistry from the UFRJ Chemistry Institute, specializing in Medicinal Chemistry. She worked as a Researcher (2016-2019) at the Technological Development Support Laboratory LADETEC-IQ / UFRJ in the area of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry with an emphasis on doping control analysis and metabolomics. She completed her postdoctoral studies (2019-2021) at Turku BioScience, University of Turku (UTU), Finland, on the application of Metabolomics and Lipidomics in biomedical research related to the identification of disease vulnerabilities associated with different metabolic phenotypes or their comorbidities. Her main areas of research are the applications of Metabolomics and Lipidomics by chromatography and mass spectrometry in integrative biomedical research, particularly in the in-depth understanding of metabolic phenotypes in health and disease for the implementation of personalized medicine. He is interested in studies involving the progress and development of human diseases and the intestinal microbiota, in addition to understanding metabolic diseases, metabolism studies and the discovery of possible biomarkers.

Linha de Pesquisa: Metabolism study of drug prototypes; Optimization of analytical methods using liquid/gas chromatography and mass spectrometry; Metabolomics; Lipidomics; Study intestinal microbiota x host relationship; Inborn Errors of Metabolism.
